Sven Wunder - Snowdrops (PP2002)

SVEN WUNDER - SNOWDROPS

7”/Digital – PIANO PIANO PP2002
Released February 2021

1. Snowdrops / 2. Stellar Plates

Where the climate is mild, snowdrops appear with the first sign of winter. In more severe areas they are the assurance that the brighter days of spring are on their way. The bell-shaped white flower can emerge through snow, held on a slender pedicel, piercing through the snow cover, or forming impressive white carpets when they bloom.

Sven Wunder is portraying the passage of the falling snow and the winter flowers bloom by depicting the rebirth of light, by cracking the cold surface of the snow, with lengthening days and shortening nights, in two flourishing jazz numbers for piano and small orchestra.
